Kitchen Tips- Low fat substitutions

Many may already know this tip, but I found it out only a few years ago. I love to cook low-fat foods, and its so much fun to take traditional recipes and make them low-fat. So, one of my favorite Kitchen tips is to use applesauce instead of oil to make low-fat treats. You substitute it equally- 1 to 1. I love to make brownies using the applesauce instead of oil- it saves 112 grams of fat in a single pan of brownies. The texture made is a little different than oil but it still tastes really great! And my waistline thanks me!
