bathroom reveal + gallery wall!

After we bought our very old house {and amazing blessing- read part 1 and part 2 to catch up on the story, it's cool!} last spring, we went straight to work on the bathroom! I don't know why, but something about walls missing, a rusted filthy bathtub, cabinets that were falling apart and nasty tile floors made me want to hit that room first!  All that and we were hosting a birthday party only 24 days after moving in!

We are slightly crazy, by the way.

Here's the before shots:
{and this was with our wall installation and new cabinet!}

and after....

We put up beadboard, installed new wood floors, installed a new sink, cabinet, and faucet, light fixture (it only had a vanity fixture before) added a new door that we had to frame out, refinished the bathtub and wall-papered, textured, and painted it a warm yellow to match the wallpaper. It's not quite as vibrant as it is in the pictures--imagine more of a creamy warm yellow. Since it's in the middle of the house, it has no natural light and the pictures weren't quite as true as the real life colors, but you get the idea anyway.  : )

And I'm so very thankful for my sweet friend Allison who helped me hang the gallery wall! It would have been impossible without her! We made it through the eight zillion challenges together, including me standing on the toilet and making it leak from somewhere underneath!
{ahem...honey... we fixed that, don't worry... ;)}

It's definitely one of my favorite rooms in the house. I'm especially fond of the clawfoot tub and the wallpaper. :)

That looks beautiful! Do you mind giving the name and source of the wallpaper? And also, where did you get that great doorknob? Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! :)

Oh, good question! We actually don't use the room for taking baths, since we have another bathroom where we shower every day. I used my inkjet and photo paper so luckily they wouldn't be terribly expensive to replace if something did happen. :)

You did such a great job, I am a little envious and inspired all at the same time! We are going to be doing a remodel in our bathroom and I hope that it goes as great as yours did!

Thank you! :) The doorknob was original and came with the house from 1895, and the wallpaper is from Sherwin Williams- I can't seem to find it online anymore but here's the name: BEACON HOUSE DAMASK EASYCHANGE- and the colors are gray and creamy yellow. Hope that helps! :)

Thanks! It's from Lowe's. Last time I checked they still had it there in stock. Hope that helps! :)
