goals update Jan. 30 2012- video style

I love setting goals- you guys keep me motivated to get them done!

Here are last week’s goals, and this week I decided to try the video format to share my update on last week and some of my new goals for this one. I had to laugh when I watched it because I’m such a goof, but it was fun! :)  Oh, and now I know why TV people wear so much makeup! {I have to ask for my foundation in the “Casper” shade already, and the video didn’t help! :) }

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 15:5-6

fellow "casper shade" laughing over here. i actually do not wear any. anything would be too dark and my skin doesn't like it nor do i need it! that made me laugh though. just like how 'skin colored' band aids are too dark for me. so i wear hello kitty instead! you?!

Very cool. Love the video. I'm so shocked you had no interruptions. I'm on the phone for five min when WWIII begins under my feet. ;P

I found you from your bread tutorial. Loved it! Can I ask how you work out 6 days a week? I thought we are supposed to rest between each day of strength training. Thanks for any tips. I also loooooovvvvveee your house!!!! Thanks Molly

I read on another blog that to help clean your fridge, use Press and Seal (found in the aluminum foil/plastic wrap area) on the top of your shelves and then just pull it off when you clean- it's like contact paper for your fridge.

Hi Molly!! :D I'm so glad you are here! You are right about spacing your training- I generally only do strength training/pump 3x per week {launch weeks are the exception - have to do it 5-6 times in that one week}, but I do cardio several times per week on a regular basis in addition to weight lifting 3x per wk. I take Sundays completely off so I'm usually ready to go at it again by Monday! :D

I'm a big proponent of pushing your limits but knowing when to stop- paying attention to your own body signs will really help keep you from injury {i.e. joint pain, body aching, specific muscle pain, exhaustion}. That's just me, though! I realize I have a different scenario than most people since I teach several times a week- most people should start with only a few days and less intensity and slowly build up if they desire to work out 5-6 days a week.

You are a goof! But, a lovable one. Don't change the style a bit!

Thanks for the info. I think that my kickboxing/strength routine is okay to do daily and I feel great but I was trying to follow the "rules". I think I will get better results if I push myself more than 3 times a week. Love your blog!
