monday giveaway: $15 Lilla Rose gift certicate + a thirty-one tote

I'm so excited to start Monday off with a bang! :D Free stuff makes Mondays rock a little more, doesn't it?
I think so!
I want to introduce you to one of my newest sponsors:
sweet Caroline Allen, from Lilla Rose and the Modest Mom!
Here’s a little more about her {I stole this from her blog because I love it and it sounds so familiar!}: “I am my sweetheart's wife and mama to five children age 8 and under. When I'm not homeschooling, cooking meals, changing diapers, or doing yet another load of laundry, you will find me here as I share my heart concerning modesty, femininity, and mothering.”
I think she’s so sweet! She’s super-talented too- she runs two shops and a blog, while keeping her full house running! :D
one of her shops is Simply Beautiful, a Lilla Rose business!

She sells these lovely hair clips that hold your hair without causing a hair headache- and even better, they look beautiful while they do it! :D They are known best for their flexi-clips that come in all sizes, but they also have hair bands, pins, and more to go with them. I just love these two flexi-clips:
So I was so excited when she wanted to send me one to try for myself:
It’s the large flexi-clip for thick hair. And the pin doesn’t come off, so I don’t have to worry about losing it. Yay!
It even came with visual directions:
I did the ponytail:

and the half- back:

This was my favorite way to wear it, because I do this with bobby pins all the time:
So much easier!
I loved it!! I have very thick hair, so regular spring clips don’t work very well for me. They won’t stay closed. But this flexi-clip went right over my hair, and it stayed in place. And my favorite part- when I go to take it off, my hair doesn’t get stuck like it does in a ponytail! I was thrilled with it!!

Caroline also runs the Modest Mom! She’s such a talented lady!
If you’re looking for anything from skirts and blouses to beautiful nursing covers and lovely belts.

My favorite item is the sailor skirt:
skirt
I could so see it with a cute mustard tank, layered with lots of fun beaded necklaces and a funky vintage hair scarf or this lilla rose hairband:
pd_headband
so much fun! :D
I’m so excited- Caroline has graciously offered a fun giveaway for you guys!
She’s giving away $15 worth of products from Lilla Rose! :D

you can win one:

$15 Lilla Rose gift certificate

and I couldn’t resist adding this beauty to go with that {because what girl doesn’t love some sweet accessories!}… so you’ll get the shopping money

and this lovely thirty-one tote!

Yay for Mondays, right? :D

Simply enter by answering this question in the comments:

what’s your favorite {can’t-live-without-it} accessory?

The giveaway closes on Sunday night, April 29, at 11:59 p.m. CST and a winner will be chosen Monday morning! Giveaway is for U.S. and Canadian residents only. :D
Good luck! :D

ponytail holder! when chasing around kids all day, it's my best friend!

I have a ton of Lilla Rose clips and adore them! I almost always pull my long hair back and the clips make your hair look so much more 'done' than just an elastic.

And I love the Modest Mom blog too. Glad to see her here on your blog. Caroline is definitely so sweet and inspirational!

Hairclips and hats are my fave accessories. Currently I have been wearing a lot of flowers in my hair for spring. For the fall or winter, I love throwing on a cute knit hat with a little bling on it. :)

A brown hair clip! With two boys under two I like to have my hair out of my face when running after that, but also keep my southern girl volume on top.

The two things you will never see me without-- my wedding rings and lipstick! When I was a teenager my mom told me that with pale skin and red hair I looked dead without lipstick! Haha I'm a little obsessive about it at 41 still!

I am a tote bag girl....it is just easy to put all the things I need to take with me but I don't like to carry it all in my handbag!! I just received a 31 tote bag as a special gift from a charity I volunteer with and just love it!!! Great products.

Mamaomuss said...

I have to have ponytail holders. My hair is always up in a ponytail or bun or half up. I've wanted to try the Lila Rose clips, but I wasn't sure if they'd work because my hair is super thick. I love 31 bags. I'm using the large utility tote as a diaper bag. Hmmm. Does a diaper bag count as a have to have it accessory? Ha ha.

runningmamaof2boys said...

I simply couldn't live without my homemade 'sweatyband'. It stays in place, looks super cute and was easy on the budget!! I work out 4 times a week so it is essential to keep my hair back.

Capturedimagesbymeg said...

bobby pins are my go to item! They are all over my house hidden away so when my bangs get in the way I can pin my hair back and chase my kids some more.

Shannon Bulla said...

Hmm...that is a tough one!! A few months ago I would probably have to say my super soft navy blue scarf, but now that it is warm I'll go with my long, gold, faux-pearl necklace from Forever 21. It is simple but dresses up any outfit!

Michelle Feltoib said...

My favorite (can't-live-without-it accessory) is my 'Mother's' necklace. It has boy and girl figures with birthstones of each of my children.

I'm not much of an accessory person so I don't have a favorite. But I'd still love to win! :) I've been thinking I need to do better in this whole thing.

Justfeedmebooks said...

The one accessory I cannot live without would be my headband! I have crazy curly hair and I have such a hard time trying to style it! So it is either in a ponytail or back with a headband. I'd be lost without them!

I have a love, hate relationship with my elastic hair ties. I hate that I have to wear them, but my hair is so long and it gets in my way while I'm cleaning or taking care of the kids....I can't live without them. :(

Janell Garwood said...

My favorite accessory is bag/totes. Love them! That one is super cute!!

Margaretbillingsley said...

My favorite accessory is a simple chain with my initials on hammered discs, and a pearl separating them. There is nothing it doesn't look just right with, and has sentimental value as well.

Kristi said...

I love having a stash of plain bobby pins on hand. They are perfect for pulling back too-long bangs or keeping up a messy bun! These Lilla Rose clips are beautiful!

Lisa said...

My favorite accessory is a necklace, its stamped nickel with two circles, the smaller has T+L (which stands for Trent and Lisa) and the second larger just reveals the names of my three children. There is a small drop pearl on top. I wear it EVERY day. I love carrying my family with me wherever I go :) That Thirty One Bag is SUPER CUTE!

Molly B said...

My favorite accessory has got to be sunglasses. . .I HAVE to have them! Thank you for such a sweet giveaway. . .

Theresa Kain said...

Those clips are beautiful!
My can't-live-without accessory is our diaper bag. It is not even a girly diaper bag (army green man-diaper bag). I can't complain; it fits everything we need for our nine month old twin boys, and it is manly enough for dad to carry.
My runner-up accessory: braids. A braid here or there makes it look like I'm put together, is quick, easy, and quite pretty if I say so myself.

my iphone and specifically the Cozi app family calendar AND my family notebook!!

Kerry Lott Kenne said...

The one accessory I cannot live without is my sunglasses! No matter where we are going, a wedding or church - I have them. Not only do they block the sun, but I mainly use them as a hair accessory . . . a headband! Where ever I go, I use them as a headband. I'm lost without them.

Wendi said...

Tough one. Tie between hair band and sunglasses. I've been desperately needing a new way to feminize my look. The brown hair bands just don't cut it anymore.

i have been rediscovering bobby pins!

The one accessory that I cannot live without would be my coupon bag. I would be lost without being able to save the money I can to help my family out, especially when my husband is laid up from recent surgery and is looking for a job. I love to save money! And I have taught my kids quite a bit about being wise in the way we spend money. They know mom will definitely not get an item (except milk, eggs and such) without an excellent sale and also a coupon!

Sara Evanchick said...

Does chapstick count as an accessory? If I'm frazzled enough to leave the house without my trusty Burt's Bees chapstick, I'm at a loss all day.

CorrieCamille said...

My purse. I use it to carry my personal items as well as the items for my two year old and six month old. It's the most trendy diaper bag I've ever had and I got it for free from my sister who was clearing out her closet.

Charissa said...

Earrings! They are a simple way to jazz up an outfit!

Kaie said...

I always have a headband of some sort as my hair gets quite crazy and with the littler ones I like to keep it away from my face. These clips would be great for that. Yeah for Mondays

Lisa May said...

My earrings!

Meg Walgren said...

No slip hair ties! As i'm chasing up to 10 kids around alll day, (i do daycare in my home-no kids of my own yet) the last thing i want to do is have my hair in my face or have to refix it a hundred times a day!

Nancy said...

My purses. I am trying to grow out my hair, so a clip would be great for my extremely thick head of hair.

Joy H said...

I think it would definately be my cell and a hair tie. I love the flexi clip!! I will have to order some!!

Heather Allyce said...

Earrings! I always accessorize with earrings. I don't spend a lot of money on them, usually from the clearance section at Target or WalMart... sometimes I get nicer stuff, but then it doesn't 'hurt' as much when I lose one or it breaks! I can ALWAYS use hair accessories (I have a battle with my mufasa every morning) and who can't use another bag? :D

Megan said...

Definately my watch. It's a gift I got from my husband about 10 years ago and I still love it.

I LOVE scarves. I wear them all the time. I got some light weight summery scarves too that I'm excited to wear until it gets too blazing hot around here. :) Thanks for the giveaway!

Amanda said...

Best auto correct ever!!! Haha!

Sabrina said...

I love my slippers! They keep my feet cozy warm in the summer and cozy in the summer when we have our A/C on. I would love to win this giftcard for a flexi-clip for my very thick, curly hair as well....if it works for your longer hair, then it will work for mine too! Love the bag too!

Sheila Payne said...

I have a bracelet that my husband gave me for our 20th anniversary. I love to wear it because he surprised me with it. Other than my wedding rings, I don't have" the real thing" jewelry and I really don't want expensive jewelry because I am afraid to wear it. This time he overruled me he said because he wanted to say I love you big. It makes me feel loved to wear it.

My favorite, can't live without accesory is my wedding/engagement ring. It's been a constant reminder (for almost a decade now! yowza!) of the vows my husband and I made. We decided long ago that the word "divorce" is not even in our vocabulary. We are committed to growing and changing together as couple with Christ as the center. So I love to look down at my simple but perfectly beautiful rings everyday reminding me of that forever love! <3

Lisa Suit said...

My favorite accessory is a plastic thing that I wrap my hair around and clip together and it puts it into a ballerina style bun. I know that's hard to imagine from my bad description, lol, but I love it because it makes me feel so much more put together than a pony tail on a bad hair day :)

wow! what a fun gift! Hmm, favorite accessory (other than my wedding ring, which is a given =0) One of two necklaces depending on how they go with the outfit: a mama bird nest egg (with 4 eggs for my 4 kids) or the purple tear drop necklace that my Mom gave me this summer (she got it from my Dad when he came home from the vietnam war.)

Danica Davis said...

Wow! Those are beautiful!!!- I need cute accessories to tie back my wild curls, down they are all over!!! But my must have accessory is not amazingly beautiful or spectacular however, it has very deep sentimental meaning. My husband almost left me last year- it was a rough time. I heard God specifically tell me to work hard and save my marriage. I spent 3 painful months working to save a marriage from a man who at the time despised me. I handed the whole relationship to God and he redeemed my marriage and changed my husband's heart. My husband is an new man and as a token of our renewed love he bought me a ring. It is a plain silver double band with our names engraved on each band (one name on each) they are welded into each other so they are entwined together and inseparable. This means the world to me because it reminds me that what God has joined together man cannot separate.

Okay .. I think this lady MUST be the winner!! Please rush out her cervix ate right away. tee hee, thanks for the giggle so early in the morning. :-)

fbc said...

I agree with Darlena - my hair tie. My hair ties regularly break from the strain of keeping my hair back and so I always have extra in my purse and in my car. I have super thick hair as well and it drives me nuts to leave it down. Even without all my precautions, I have been without one and have used pens/pencils to keep some of it back. I would love to try the hair clip for thick hair.

My favorite accessory is a thick ponytail holder that I use on my daughter’s hair. She is 10-years old and we have never cut her hair; it’s past her knees. I wonder if the flexi-clip could hold all of her hair. I need to browse the Lilla Rose shop.

Your hair is amaaazing! You could put anything in it, and it would look great! Mine's the exact opposite (short and fine), but I'd still love to try one of those clips.

My favorite accessory probably would be my "cervix ate," if I had one. ;) But alas! It's my wedding and engagement rings, the only jewelry I wear every single day. They're not especially flashy or expensive, but my husband did help design them, and it means a lot he thought that much about me and what I uniquely might like (and how well he knew me!), in addition to the obvious meaning wedding and engagement rings carry. :)
