We went to one a few years ago, during our first year homeschooling. OVERWHELMING describes it nicely. :) I think four years in now, we'll have a little more balanced perspective. There are some great speakers that we'd love to hear! Sarah S.

I have been to two local (MI) homeschool conferences and last year went to the Teach them Diligently conference. Going to a conference is: inspiring, amazing, intense, and a definite must do at least once. You walk away totally exhausted and totally energized all at the same time. Thanks for the opportunity to possibly attend this conference.

We have never been to a homeschool convention!! This is our 2nd year and I find myself all too often ordering too many things, not knowing enough about them.. It would be fantastic to be able to see all different curriculum's in one area. Plus the speakers look so amazing, my husband will even be excited to attend. This would also be a great opportunity for my kids to realize that there are more homeschoolers like them all over the country and even get some penpals!! Thank you!! sppagonis@aol.com

I have been prayerfully considering homeschooling for over a year now. Two of our three boys are currently in public school, and while it is a great little elementary school, its excellence cannot outweigh God's calling. And despite my thinking maybe public school will be OK for now, God has made it clear to me, through much prayer and Bible study, that homeschool is what he wants for our family. But "for such a time as this," we are seeing God work in our lives and grow us up in Him. Attending the homeschool convention in Ohio would be a wonderful opportunity for me and my husband to learn more before stepping out in faith next school year. And...I would also love to hear Dr. Carson and Matt Walsh speak! andreavanzant@hot mail.com

Thank you...we are just starting out. We've been very disappointed wuth the public school system and we want ti teach our children while building godly character in then. Education is important but salvation and our walk with Christ us our life. There's tio much promoting of satans agenda in the world and the sxhiols. Natasha O Natasha670@yahoo.com

Anonymous said...

Sorry I'm typing from my cell phone so pls overlook the errors. Natasha o. I was stating satan agenda is promoted too much in this world and in the schools. It's our job to teach Christ and build a legacy of holiness which destroys the works of sin around us.
