yesterday was one of the best days of my life. :D

I still have more items to post {hopefully tonight}, but something momentous happened yesterday and life was crazy {awesome} this weekend.

These three loves of my life were baptized yesterday!!

They celebrated their new life by showing the world that they were born again! :D

For those of you who don't know the story, my husband was saved by faith in Jesus almost three years ago. Hopefully someday soon Rob will share his full testimony on the blog here, but he was one of the unlost, and God opened his eyes and saved him, and He really and truly made my husband a new person.

Rob with our pastor
Our boys have also confessed Jesus as Lord and believed in Him for salvation and have decided to follow Him! They've understood what salvation is and believed in Jesus for many years now, but I think their hearts really understood their need for a Savior, and they repented and made the heart decision to follow Him this year. Oh, praise the Lord God Almighty!! :D

It was a beautiful, beautiful day and I was so thankful my family was able to be there to witness this sweet occasion! :D

thank you Kaycie for the pic!
We have been so blessed to be saved. So blessed to know Jesus and to be in a church full to the brim of people who love Him. Oh, I can't say it enough- if you don't have a real relationship with the Lord Jesus, I pray that He will open your eyes to find Him, and I pray that wherever you are you also find a body of believers who genuinely follow God by faith in Jesus Christ if you don't have one.

There is a body of believers who truly seek God to be Lord of their lives, and those are the people with whom you want to grow in grace and walk through life! :) They will encourage you to grow in your faith and to love God even more, and to follow Him with all your heart. You were meant to be part of His living body! :)

It won't be long until we see Jesus, my friends. This life is but a breath. What will you do with the hours you've been given? Will you walk with Him, and live for Him? Will you trust Him?

--------------------------

Do you remember the day you were baptized? :)

What about the day you were saved? What brought you to that?

Are you in a body of believers who truly follow Jesus in word and deed?

Yes, yes, yes! I was 6 years old and scared to death of water! :) But I grew up being taught the truth and wanted to follow the Lord in obedience in baptism. So thankful for His saving grace!

P.S. I absolutely love your blog! :)

What a beautiful day!! I remember my baptism, it was actually on my younger brother's birthday and we were both baptized that day :) Years later, I found out I was expecting my first baby on his birthday too. It's a special day for me.

Thank you so much for sharing your heart. What a blessing to see your boys and your husband go into the waters and come out a new creation in Jesus. I remember when I was baptized, 3 years ago on my birthday. I had been baptized as a child and said a prayer in middle school and figured I had all my bases covered. But I realized, once I actually found a relationship with Jesus, that it was so much more than covering bases. It was about LIVING, and living well. I wasn't living before. I was maintaining. Its been a journey, and a process, and there are still lots of sins that are being uprooted. And that "weeding" or pruning is very painful. But its so comforting to know that Jesus is my gardener. That he knows what he's doing. I'm not the one pruning my life, with limited to no knowledge of how to prune a vine.

This post brought tears to my eyes! It is so awesome to see others get baptized. I was baptized when I was in the 8th grade on my brothers birthday. In fact, my brother and my little sister were also baptized that day. It was very special. I no longer attend the church I was baptized in, and now a member of a different church with my husband. I LOVE the way they do baptism! It's one special Sunday each month, and the child or adult being baptized gives a video testimony that is pre-recorded. The video testimony plays with music in the background as they wait in the water, and then after the video they are submersed in the water. It's so great when there are multiple people getting baptized back to back. Of course, it's cute to see the kids give their testimony and you are so excited for them. But I love it even more when you see an adult who was lost and they open up to everyone about their past and then get baptized. It's truly amazing!

That's so awesome! Congratulations to them and you! I am a long time reader and wondered (this may be too nosy/rude) how you two ended up together if he was not saved? Obviously, God had a plan, but would be interested in hearing the story, if you cared to share.:)

Congratulations! What a great Sunday. I do remember the day I was baptized - 4/20/2008. God did an amazing miracle in my life and lifted the burden of a breakup that was eating me with such bitterness - gone, all of a sudden. I knew it was God because I asked Him to "throw me a bone" if He was real. Yes, He is real and we are blessed!

Praise the Lord! I am curious what your life was like in the areas of submission to a husband who was not a follower of Christ- prior to his Salvation and how you continued to honor and respect your husband apart from his faith in Jesus Christ. Please please please blog more about this! What an encouragement you are for sharing Christ's redemption in your family. Thank you.

What a blessing! I remember the day I was baptized and the day each of my children were baptized. Such a blessing and a thrill. I remember the day I was saved at a Word of Life Bowl-a-thon back in 1977. I am a member of a church but not one that truly loves and serves Christ, Our church has been through 2 splits and there are a lot of distrust and many people have left. My husband feels that we should stay.

Congratulations Mandy and Family! That really is a joyous occassion and I'm happy for you all. It looks like it was even extra special having your husband baptize the kids. That's beautiful and something your children will remember when they are older. Wow! I'm proud for you! <3

Oh my!!!! Love this post!! I know God was glorified!!! As a mom, I know your were happy. I would be. I remember when I was baptized. I was baptized with my brother. I also remembered when I got saved. That youth Sunday, the Lord spoke to my heart and went to the altar and cried out to the Lord. I'm just so happy for you and your family.

Oh what a beautiful dayfor you! I remember my baptism, there are almost 3 years (2011) ... along with my youngest son. And what converted me ... my children, who requested baptism at 6 years old! It was a beautiful day too, my 5 children baptized at the same time ... and then our Lord opened my eyes, and I was baptized with my 6th child!
Unfortunately, I don't have a very strong community around me, it's very disparate (for example, that one is submissive to her husband, because it's biblical, is a subject to be avoided!) ... everyone has a different opinion on how to follow Jesus (we are Catholic), although I have a few friends that I feel close ... but we live in a secular country and it feels! Fortunately, there your blog, Mandy!

Awww! This is so amazing and wonderful! It is always a miracle whenever someone is saved, we all are so unlikely! I am always so humbled and overwhelmed with thankfulness at any reminder of God's great love toward us, all sinners saved by such amazing and awesome grace!
