  1. Mandy, I just have to tell you that I haven't even watched the video yet. But last night I was arguing with my husband and got to a very bad point with my words... I said something very hateful, very loudly. I have been repenting and praying all last night and this morning, and now I log onto Google Reader and yours is one of TWO posts (in the very limited # of blogs I read) about taming the tongue... God is using you to convict, thanks for being faithful.

    hey hey hey! :D
this is TRUTH and God has challenged me this year about my tongue. BIG TIME!
a few examples of scripture He gave me in ONE week:

death and life are in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18:21

pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones. Proverbs 16:24

a soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger. Pproverbs 15:1

ummm, so yah...He sees my problem, but thank the Lord I can have victory!

have a great week, sweet girl!

  10. I use a lot of different kinds, but I think the one I had that day was NASB. I prefer ESV first, and then NASB. :D

  14. I am gearing up for the 12 hour challenge! My home life is seriously suffering from my internet use (as well as TV... that's another challenge...) I am really struggling with my desire for entertainment versus my desire to work hard and serve God and my family. I have seen on some other Christian mom blogs a "Day in the life of _____". Would you consider doing a blog post of a random day in your life and what that looks like? The first one I found was over at gracefullmama.com, and hers was especially inspiring considering she is a Missionary wife and living in a completely different part of the world than us here in the US. Thanks for the encouragement and I hope you will considering sharing a day in your life!

oh mandy. this post got me. i've been a lurker for quite some time now. i'm always hesitant to comment on blogs because i feel like i either don't have anything original to offer or what i would say makes me sound like a weirdo-stalker. today, i'm going to risk sounding like the second to say that this post was ah-maze-ing. you sound exactly like i thought you would. watching it, i was in near tears too. thank you so much for taking the time to make this. there's so much i want to thank you for in this post... but i just can't figure out how to say it. so... just, thanks. thanks.
